At Artisan we take green issues and sustainability very seriously.

To that end, we have recently relocated to a prestigious, new, carbon-neutral eco development.  Located beside the Penryn River and designed by renowned Godfather of sustainable buildings – Bill Dunster.

Using super insulation, photo voltanics, wind turbines and heat exchangers... our building is the cutting edge of sustainable development. We have a central woodchip burner to provide under floor heating to all area... but the fact is, that even in the depths of winter, we never have to switch ours on!

With a dedicated recycling store, our own three stage filtration system for plaster waste, we only send one small bag of rubbish to landfill each week. Add to this the fact that most of our local deliveries are carried out by bicycle... We believe we can justifiably claim to be the most environmentally progressive and carbon neutral laboratory in the country.

As if that were not enough, we also have, on site, our own organic cafe that utilises local produce where possible and sustains those working and living here along with anyone else who cares to call in... and, then there is the onsite playgroup... yoga classes... I could go on!
